Lord Herbert Samuel, former Secretary of State for Home Affairs, former member of Parliament and first High Commissioner of Palestine under the British Mandate, who has been ill since last week, was reported today to have had a more comfortable day but his condition was described as “more or less the same.” Members of Lord Samuel’s household said today they were “still anxious about his condition.” Lord Samuel is 92 years old.
