Lord Passfield’s resignation as Colonial Secretary is imminent, the “New York World” reports from London to-day, suggesting that he may be succeeded by Lord Noel-Buxton, who recently visited Palestine during his Mediterranean tour with Lady Noel-Buxton after his resignation from the Ministry of Agriculture for reasons of ill-health.

The J.T.A. here understands that nothing is known of any intention on the part of Lord Passfield to resign from the Colonial Office, and the suggestion that Lord Noel-Buxton may succeed him is considered most unlikely. The Colonial Office is unable either to confirm or deny the report.
