The Marquis of Reading will be chairman of the company which has purchased the controlling interest in the “Daily Chronicle”, one of the principal Liberal morning newspapers. The group which has purchased the “Chronicle” is headed by Lord Reading, Sir Thomas Catte and Sir David Yule. The polices of the “Daily Chronicle” and its subsidiary publications will continue to be Liberal.
