Lord Smuel, First High Commissioner of Palestine and a leader of the Liberal Party, is being mentioned as a passible successor to Lord Lothian as Ambassador to the United States, the Evening Standard said today. The newspaper said Lord Samuel would be welcomed by many Americans.
