Victor M. Carter, civic and Jewish communal leader, has been elected unanimously as president of the Jewish Federation-Council of Greater Los Angeles. He succeeds Dr. Max W. Bay, who served in the post for three years.
Long active in numerous philanthropic, cultural and educational organizations and activities, Mr. Carter is a member of the boards of directors of the Joint Distribution Committee, the American Friends of the Hebrew University, the American Technion Society and the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.
