A resolution condemning the policy of the Polish regime “in using Jews as scapegoats in a desperate effort to maintain political control,” was adopted here at a meeting of the community relations committee of the Jewish Federation-Council of Greater Los Angeles. The resolution asserted that the regime’s attempt to divert attention from its failures “by singling out the Jews for special reprisal will not succeed in suppressing the desire of the people of Poland for freedom.”
Victor M. Carter, president of the Council-Federation, announced that Los Angeles Jewry will demonstrate its concern for Polish Jewry at the citywide observance of the 25th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising on April 28.
