Pledges totaling $2,349,463–nearly $100,000 over the April 1 quota–were announced by J. M. Stuchen, general chairman of the 1960 United Jewish Welfare Fund campaign, as obtained to the beginning of this month. One hundred and four division chairmen topped their quotas of 35 percent of the $7,000,000 UJWF total goal.
“Results to date are gratifying, but we cannot let up in our efforts to reach our May 1 quota of $3,500,000,” Mr. Stuchen said. Another highlight of the week’s UJWF activities was an impressive $500,000 pledged by members of Brentwood County Club.
