A protest against the wave of anti-Jewish propaganda in the Soviet Union and in other Communist countries was adopted here last night at a meeting of 1,500 members of the Farband-Labor Zionist Order at which the 40th anniversary of the organization was celebrated. The meeting also celebrated the 25th anniversary of Louis Segal as general secretary of the Order.
Mr. Segal, who was one of the principal speakers at the meeting, participated in an impressive ceremony installing 150 new members into a new “David Ben Gurion Branch” of the Order. Other speakers included Maurice Schwartz, noted Jewish actor, and Harry Lang, member of the editorial staff of the Jewish Daily Forward.
