Los Angeles Philanthropist Gives $250,000 to University of Judaism

A professional chair in Bible has been established at the University of Judaism, the West Coast branch of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, by Samuel A. Fryer, a prominent Los Angeles philanthropist.

The gift of $250,000 to establish the chair, brings to $500,000 the total contributed by Mr. Fryer to the university. The building housing the institution which was purchased largely with funds contributed by Mr. Fryer, is named for him.
