Louis B. Mayer, Chairman of the Los Angeles drive for the United Jewish Campaign, advanced ten thousand dollars for remittance to the United Jewish Campaign in answer to David A. Brown’s S.O.S.. Mr. Mayer adso advanced the necessary expenses connected with the California campaign.

Sol Lesser, owner of the West Coast chain of two hundred theatres in California, accepted the vice-chairmanship of the Los Angeles campaign.
