Louis R. Golden, local Jewish leader, was elected today general campaign chairman of the 1948 Combined Jewish Appeal of Greater Boston, succeeding Herman Gilman, who held the post for two years and who is now serving as associate chairman of Initial Gifts fear the national United Jewish Appeal.
