Emanuel Werbner, one of two Jewish boys injured when a bomb, believed to have been thrown by antiSemitic gangsters, exploded in the club rooms of the local Jewish sport club Hashachar, died here today from the wounds received in the explosion. The victim was only 13 years old.
The club’s rooms were bombed on the night of June 23 and two boys were seriously wounded. The other boy, Ephraim Fortman, 14, is still in the hospital in a critical condition. The building, which also houses the Zionist sports group Kadimah, was heavily damaged.
The police have so far not succeeded in apprehending the throwers of the bomb. However, members of a local anti-Semitic youth organization are suspected.
