A recommendation that the United Nations send a token international force to Palestine to maintain order, was made by James G. MacDonald, former member of the Anglo-American Committee of Inquiry on Palestine, who was the guest speaker at a Negev City dinner held here under the auspices of the Jewish National Fund of Canada. “Twenty to thirty thousand troops would, with the co-operation of the Jewish militia, the Haganah, be sufficient,” Mr. MacDonald stated.
