Ramsay MacDonald, Premier of Great Britain, arriving in New York on the steamer Berengaria, declared to the representative of the Jewish Daily Bulletin that the Labor cabinet has made it clear that there will be no deviation on the part of the present government from the Balfour Declaration. Except for this statement, the Premier declined to discuss the Palestine situation in detail.
“I am occupied with Anglo-American relations. The Palestine question is being handled by Arthur Henderson, Foreign Secretary, and Lord Passfield. Besides, I will receive a deputation of the Jewish Agency in New York on October 11, when I will have an opportunity of saying more,” Premier MacDonald stated.
