The British Colonial Office is consulting with the High Commissioner of Palestine regarding the date of publication of the Palestine Inquiry Commission’s report, Prime Minister Ramsay MacDonald said in reply to a question in the House of Commons by Ormsby Gore as to whether the House would have an opportunity of discussing the report before Easter and whether the government would adhere to its definition of policy and the application of it under the Palestine Mandate as set forth in the White Paper of 1922.
Prime Minister MacDonald said that under the circumstances he was not yet able to say what arrangements for debate on the question had been made. It is clear, he declared, that at the present moment a general declaration of policy beyond what has already been said would be premature.
