Madame Bertha Kalich comes out of her retirement to appear in a benefit performance for the Medical College of the Hebrew University of Palestine. The performance is sponsored by the Brooklyn Branch of Hadassah and will take place Wednesday at the Public Theatre on Second avenue.
Madame Kalich will be heard in a singing role for the first time in many years when she takes the role of Sara in Abraham Goldfaden’s biblical operetta, “The Sacrifice of Isaac.”
Among those who have taken boxes are Judge Aaron J. Levy and Professor and Madame Lewis Freeman Mott.
