Major Jewish Groups Support Bill Outlawing Discrimination in City-assisted Housing

All major Jewish organizations placed themselves on record today as urging the passage by the New York City Council of the Brown-Isaacs Bill which would make it a misdemeanor to discriminate because of “race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry” in any city-assisted housing. Seventeen non Jewish organizations are also supporting this bill, it was announced here by the New York State Committee on Discrimination in Housing.
