An important archaeological find was reported in Pekyin, a Gallilean village where a small community of native Jews, whose ancestors never left the country, live.
During the repair of the ancient syangogue at Pekyin a stone was dug up on which there were pictures of a Menorah (seven branched candle stick) an esrog (lime) and a shofar (Ram’s horn). The stone, it is surmised, is a fragment of an ancient synagogue.
