Major Benjamin N. Namm is among the members of the commission whom Governor Roosevelt has just appointed to select and acquire a site for a State World War memorial. Major Namm, who is 42, was born in Brooklyn. He is president of the A. I. Namm & Son Department Store of Brooklyn and was president of the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities from 1914 to 1916. He is the author of a book, “Advertising the Retail Store”, containing a foreword by Arthur Brisbane.
