Another attempt to introduce prohibition of the schechita in Warsaw was made by the Christian Democracy, Chauvinistic labor group, in the municipal council which last year made a similar move, resulting in the appointment of a commission to investigate the possibilities for this act. At that time the commission reported that for technical reasons the administrations of the slaughter houses did not favor the introduction of schechita prohibition.
The present attempt is being made by the group which claims that for economic reasons the slaughter houses will consent to the prohibition. This group is seeking support in government circles and will try to bring about a session of the investigation commission next week.
