The Mandates Commission of the League of Nations keeps a review of the Arab press in Palestine and of the Jewish press in that country as well as in Europe and in America the Mandates Commission was informed today by Vito Catastini, director of the League of Nations Mandates sections, reporting at the opening of the ordinary session of the Mandates Commission.
The session was opened by D. van Rees, vice-chairman, who reported in detail on the resolutions of the Council of the League of Nations regarding the extraordinary session of the Commission on Palestine and the appointment of the Wailing Wall Commission. He also mentioned that the Mandates Commission was celebrating its tenth anniversary, emphasizing the importance of its work.
Marquis A. Theodoli, the Italian representative, was reelected chairman of the Commission for the next year and M. Van Rees was renamed vice-chairman.
