Jewish Hospital week which will be celebrated from May 18 to 24, carries a list of sponsors both Jews and non-Jews which reads like a veritable Who’s Who in America. Cardinal Hayes, Bishop Manning, the Rev. Dr. S. Parkes Cadman and Senator Royal Copeland are among the non-Jews, whereas Frederick Brown, Rev. Dr. D. de Sola Pool, Daniel Guggenheim, Simon Guggenheim, Adolph Lewisohn, Henry Morgenthau, Mrs. Henry Moskowitz, and Nathan Straus are among the more prominent Jews listed.
The list was made public by Judge Samuel D. Levy of the Children’s Court, chairman of the New York Committee of the National Jewish Hospital in Denver, a non-sectarian institution for the treatment of tuberculosis.
