Louis Marshall and Mayor Walker will be the guests of honor and principal speakers at the annual dinner of the Eastern Parkway Division of the United Palestine Appeal at the Brooklyn Jewish Center, on Wednesday evening, April 17. Henry Seinfel is chairman of the dinner committee.
The gathering on April 17 will be the feature event of the $100,000 campaign now under way in the Eastern Parkway section, as part of the $1,500,000 Greater New York campaign of the United Palestine Appeal. Dr. Louis D. Gross, editor of the “Brooklyn Examiner,” is chairman of the campaign, Rabbi I. H. Levinthal of the Brooklyn Jewish Center, honorary chairman, and Jacob Goell, honorary vice-chairman. The vice chairmen are Nathan D. Shapiro, president of the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities; Isidore Fein, president of the Brooklyn Jewish Center, and Benjamin Plotle of Congregation Chovevi Torah, Nathan Dvorkin is secretary and Samuel Rottenberg, honorary president of the Center, treasurer.
