The problem of the Jews in Germany was described to more than 400 persons by Rabbi Harry Levi of Temple Israel, radio speaker, at a mass meeting at the Y. M.-Y. W. H. A. Community Centre, which opened the drive in this city in behalf of the United Jewish Appeal.
It was announced that Max Wind, local manufacturer, would contribute an amount equal to one-half of whatever is raised by the Jews of the city.
