A factory to supply the Jewish colonists in some Ukraine districts with matzoth for the forthcoming Passover was started by the Ozet. the society for settling Jews on the land, in Neshin.

The operation of this factory called forth the criticism of the Yiddish communist daily, “Stern,” which urges the Ozet to close the factory immediately, even if it involves a loss.
