Maurice Jacobs Resigns from Jewish Publication Society; Succeeded by Lesser Zussman

Lesser Zussman, for the past three and a half years an executive of the Philadelphia Allied Jewish Appeal, was named executive secretary of the Jewish Publication Society of America, succeeding Dr. Maurice Jacobs, who has been executive vice-president for the past 14 years, according to an announcement made today by Judge Louis E. Levinthal, president of the Society.

Dr. Jacobs resigned to enter his own publishing business, and his resignation, effective March 15, was accepted with regret. Mr. Zussman will assume his new office Feb. 1st.
