Mayor William O’Dwyer officially proclaimed June as “UJA Month” for New York at a ceremony yesterday at City Hall. The Mayor’s proclamation urged New Yorkers “to support the life saving and humanitarian work of the United Jewish Appeal of Greater How York,” citing the Appeal’s achievements in bringing an end to despair and suffering for hundreds of thousands of Jews throughout the world.
