Mayor Sam Massell has been named chairman of the Mayors’ Committee for the 32nd annual interfaith National Bible Week, Nov. 19-26, it was announced by Dr. Paul W. McCracken, national chairman. Massell is the first Jew to chair this committee. Bible Week is sponsored by the Laymen’s National Bible Committee, Inc., an independent non-sectarian organization of lay people of all faiths.
