Mayor Robert F. Wagner was honored yesterday by a group of Jewish religious and education leaders for his support of Jewish causes. The delegation, headed by Rabbi Leo Jung, Orthodox scholar, presented the Mayor with a copy of “The Graphic History of the Jewish Heritage.”
The delegation included Rabbi Israel Mowshowitz, president of the New York Board of Rabbis; Gustave Rosenberg, chairman of the Board of Higher Education; George Maislen, president of the United Synagogue of America; Jules Fried, president of the Jewish Education Committee of New York; and Joseph Schlang, former officer of the Synagogue Council of America.
