An earnest appeal for American Christian groups to come to the aid of German refugees who are in dire need was made here last night by James G. McDonald, League of Nations High Commissioner for German refugees, in a speech over a nation-wide radio hook-up of the National Broadcasting Company.
Mr. McDonald reviewed in detail the year and a half of work for the refugees, pointing out that 30,000 had been settled in new homes during that period, thanks to the work of private organizations, Jewish and non-Jewish, which had raised funds for the refugees.
