A bulletin issued here yesterday by the central division of the Canadian Jewish Congress states that “High Commissioner for German Refugees James G. McDonald will in the near future confer with Premier Richard B. Bennett of Canada on the settlement of German Jewish refugees in Canada.”
High Commissioner McDonald is at present in London where the meeting of the governing body of the autonomous refugee commissioner created by the League of Nations is in progress. In his speech to the governing body covering the various phases of his work, the High Commissioner made no reference to the settlement of German Jewish refugees in Canada.
