Election of George Z. Medalie, former United States Attorney, as president of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies of New York City was announced tonight following a meeting of the board of trustees at the Federation Building. Medalie succeeds Benjamin J. Buttenwieser, president since 1938.
