The annual meeting of the North East Religious Union of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations was held at Temple Emanu-El, yesterday morning. Representatives from Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island attended this meeting. Roger W. Straus, the Chairman, presided.
Reports of the work of the North Eastern Religious Union in the various sections of the district were reported by the Vice-Chairmen : Judge Solomon Elsner, Connecticut; Hon. Samuel B. Finkel, Massachusetts; Jacob L. Newman, New Jersey; Judge Samuel J. Harris, New York; Max L. Schallek, Metropolitan District of New York, and Charles C. Brown, Rhode Island.
It was decided to hold an annual Convention on Sunday, December 4th, at Congregation Emanu-El at which more than 500 delegates are expected.
