For the first time in Swedish history, a meeting has been held in a Swedish church under joint Christian and Jewish auspices to promote a Jewish cause.

The meeting, held in Engelbrekts Church, saw Bishop Manfred Bjoerquist and Chief Rabbi Dr. Kurt Wilhelm in the pulpit to plead for support of the Swedish-Israel campaign to establish a Swedish village, Kfar Shvedia, in Israel.
