The National Council of Jewish Women has gained 5,000 new members as a result of its current membership drive, it was announced yesterday, bringing the present membership to 45,000.
The drive will be continued until the triennial convention of the council at New Orleans March 10-15. Mrs. J. L. Langsdorf of Philadelphia, is chairman of the campaign.
The campaign for increased membership was inaugurated to enable the council to increase its scope of activities, especially in relief work among German refugees.
