S.Z. Shragai, member of the Jewish Agency executive, was detained last night for half an hour when he arrived here by air from Palestine. His release came only after a long, involved argument with and detailed questioning by an immigration official.
Although the official indicated that the delay was occasioned by a new regulation concerning visitors from Palestine, which he said would be issued today or tomorrow, the Home Off ice today denied knowledge of such a regulation. However, authorities indicated that all persons arriving from Palestine have been subjected to careful scrutiny for some time.
