Members of Yasser Arafat’s Fatah movement reportedly shelved the idea of creating the post of prime minister who would share power with Arafat. During a meeting of Fatah’s Central Committee with Arafat late Tuesday, one of those present raised the issue, but it was then dropped, Planning Minister Nabil Sha’ath, a senior Fatah member, told The Associated Press on Wednesday.
