Several thousand people attended a memorial meeting in honor of Vladimir Jabotinsky, Revisionist Leader, last night. Jabotinsky died here last year while on a special mission to the United States on behalf of the New Zionist Organization.
Among the speakers were Consul Jachimowicz on behalf of the Polish Government, Dr. Karle Hudec, Consul General of the Czechoslovakian Government and Dr. Joseph Schechtmen, a close collaborator of Jabotinsky’s. Messages were read from David Lloyd George, Lord Strabolgi and British Air Minister Sir Archibald Sinclair.
In his message Lloyd George said: “In Vladimir Jabotinsky I recognized a born leader who put all his heart, all his soul and all his might into the struggle for freedom and justice for his people. His was the same fire of the Jewish prophets of whom he was no unworthy follower.”
