The death of Vladimir Jabotinsky was mourned today by M.M. Ussishkin, chairman of the Zionist General Council, at a meeting of the council’s Palestine commission today. Ussishkin noted the tragic coincidence that the deaths of Jabotinsky, Dr. Theodor Herzl, founder of political Zionism, and Chaim Nachman Bialik, Hebrew poet-laureate, had occurred in the Hebrew month of Tammuz.
Representatives of the Government and of all consulates, including that of the United States, attended memorial services at Yeshurun Synagogue.
