Yehudi Menuhin, violinist, announced today than he has pledged his first scheduled New York concert engagement of 1940, set for Dec. 2 at Carnegie Hall, entirely for the benefit of the Palestine Conservatoire of Music in Jerusalem. Menuhin made his announcement at a meeting of the concert committee of the American Association of Friends of the Palestine Conservatoire, held at the home of Edward A. Norman, chairman of the association.
