“Any discussion regarding the continuance of the Jewish National Fund and its merger with the Keren Hayesod is premature and harmful,” Daniel Frisch, president of the Zionist Organization of America, told the Jewish Agency executive today, according to a cable from Jerusalem released by head-quarters of the Z.O.A. here.
The Z.O.A. president called for a united Zionist movement outside of Israel. “Even a discussion of the future of the Jewish National Fund is premature and may affect adversely the interests of Zionist fund-raising throughout the world,” he said. “Such a discussion is not in the interest of a revitalized World Zionist movement,” he said.
Mr. Frisch urged that management of the world fund-raising of the Zionist movement, as well as of the organization department of the world Zionist movement, be entrusted to General Zionists, “which would be conducive to more successful work.” He strongly urged an increase in the tempo of traditional Jewish National Fund collections.
