There will be no unified fund-raising campaign in the Mexican Jewish community this year as a result of differences of opinion among Zionist groups here, it was learned today.
Meanwhile, the drive for local Jewish communal needs, undertaken by the Jewish Central Committee and Congregation Nidchai Israel, has already been proclaimed. The funds raised in this effort will be used to fight anti-Semitism in Mexico, provide for the needs of Jewish education and for philanthropic and welfare purposes. Zionist groups are preparing for their campaigns for the Jewish National Fund and for other Israeli needs.
