A Mexico-Israel cultural agreement, negotiated since June 1959, was signed here today by Dr. Manuel Tello, Minister of the Exterior, and Shimeon Amir, Israel’s charge d’affaires. The move for this pact was initiated here by Mrs. Golda Meir, Israel’s Foreign Minister, when she visited the Mexican capital in 1959.
“I am very happy to re-emphasize through this agreement,” said Dr. Tello at the signing ceremony, “that Mexico and Israel enjoy the friendliest relations.”
