Meyer L. Brown, prominent Zionist and American Jewish communal leader, was honored on the occasion of his 75th birthday here yesterday at a reception attended by more than 850 representatives of 24 Jewish organizations, sponsored by the Israel Bond organization. Mr. Brown is founder of the Farband Labor Zionist Organization of America. A total of $500,000 in bonds was sold at the reception.
Dr. Joseph J. Schwartz, executive vice-president of the Israel Bond Organization, was principal speaker at the reception. Greetings were received from Israel President Zalman Shazar, Prime Minister Levi Eshkol, Jewish Agency chairman Moshe Sharett and Dr. Nahum Goldmann, president of the World Zionist Organization.
