A bronze plaque praising the “courage and gallantry in action” of Sgt. Meyer Levin, twice-decorated Army Air Force bombardier from Brooklyn, was presented to his family today during ceremonies marking the observation of “Meyer Levin Day.”
The plaque will be placed on the outside of the Levin home in Brooklyn. The celebration was organized by the War Savings Staff of the Treasury Department to initiate a monster war-bond campaign in New York City in November. A parade of Sgt. Levin’s neighbors and friends preceded the presentation ceremonies.
