Joseph Meyerhoff, of Baltimore, a nationally prominent Jewish communal leader, has been named the recipient of the Israel Prime Minister’s Medal of the Israel Bond Organization. The medal will be presented to Mr. Meyerhoff by Israel Ambassador Avraham Harman at a dinner in Baltimore on December 1.
A member of the executive committee of the Israel Bond drive, Mr. Meyerhoff is a former general chairman of the United Jewish Appeal and has served as president of the Associated Jewish Charities of Baltimore. Sen. Joseph D. Tydings of Maryland will be a guest speaker at the dinner.
