Michael A. Stavitsky, former chairman of the Welfare Council of Newark and former chairman of the Newark Housing Authority, has been named president of the American Association for Jewish Education. Mr. Stavitsky succeeds Mark Eisner of New York, former chairman of the Board of Higher Education of New York, who resigned for reasons of health.
