The Mid-Western conference of organizations of the National Labor Committee from Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Indiana and Minnesota closed here Monday after adopting a resolution to support the Histadruth Haovdim, the Palestine workers federation. The conference pledged itself to raise twenty-five thousand dollars for the Gewerkshaften campaign for the Palestinian workers, including the memorial fund for the late Dr. Chaim Arlosoroff.
After hearing addreses on the subject of immigration restrictions intraduced by the Palestinian government, the conference went on record as protesting against any limitation of Jewish immigration into Palestine. The conference also pledged support for the demand for unrestricted immigration into Palestine and for the continuation of the upbuilding work, no matter what the difficulties.
