The first Jew in this country to become president of a Young Men’s Christian Association is Dr. Harry S. Frank, who was elected to that office by the local “Y” branch at its annual meeting.

“It was a kind and courteous gesture on your part to elect a Jew for your president,” Dr. Frank said in a message of thanks to the directors.
