Migration of large numbers of children from Germany to Eastern Europe has created serious financial problems for Jewish communities in Lithuania which are endeavoring to provide schooling and maintenance for these young refugees, according to a report received here by the Joint Distribution Committee.
The report, which is from the “Tarbuth” institutions of Lithuania, for the first three months of the current year indicates that they have incurred a deficit of $4,350.
